ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) is a public two-year and four-year degree granting institution founded in 1909 by the New Mexico Constitution. NNMC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. NNMC operates from two campuses in Espanola and El Rito and serves an average of 1,000 students per semester. Applications are invited for a ten month, tenure-track faculty position with a contract starting August 2017.
The College of Business Administration offers Certificate programs, Associate of Arts in Business Administration, Associate of Applied Science in Office Administration and a Bachelors of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting, Management and Project Management.
JOB DUTIES: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate project management, management, or economics courses, as well as other business courses as assigned. Other areas of responsibilities include advising, assessment, participating in scholarly activities including continuing process of maintaining accreditation for the two-year and four-year programs. The position also requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others, as well as a serving on college committees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master of Business Administration is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: a) Ph.D. or DBA b) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification c) teaching experience in higher education d) experience teaching web-based courses.
SALARY: Based on credentials and experience
