A minimum of a Master’s in Business, Accounting, Finance or closely-related field plus two (2) years of accounting experience and one (1) year of teaching or training experience. An active CPA or active CMA required by employment start date.
Teach undergraduate courses in Accounting including Introduction to Financial Accounting, Corporate and Managerial Accounting and application software for spreadsheets and databases. Additional courses could include Accounting for Management Decisions, Cost Accounting and Tax Accounting. A normal teaching load is 12 credits per semester. While the focus is on teaching, there are clear expectations of scholarly research and service activities. This position may require alternative delivery methods and/or non-traditional teaching times. Academic advisement and assessment of student learning in business-related programs is also significant in this position.
The Department of Business is one of 7 departments within the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Management and delivers courses that serve 20 undergraduate majors, including bachelor's degrees in Business Administration; Retail Merchandising and Management; and Supply Chain Management, The Department of Business currently has 20 full-time faculty members and typically offers 50 different courses with over 2,500 students per semester enrolled in department course offerings.

Faculty use the university’s online course delivery system and must be available for online interactions and/or alternate time frames for teaching.
