Job Summary

Manage finances and business processes for the Krannert School of Management with small to mid-range level annual expenditures and revenues. Work with the unit head in establishing financial priorities. Develop budgetary controls and prepare financial reports. Work closely with central offices and other business entities in meeting the strategic goals of the University. Act as the resource and liaison among the academic or administrative unit and central offices. Provide proper interpretation of University, federal and sponsoring agency policies and procedures. Coach and review the work of lower level staff. May serve on a variety of committees to review, recommend and implement changes to policies and procedures.

Required:

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Two or more years in business administration, financial management or related experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, leadership, budgeting, financial analysis, problem-solving, organizational, project management, and customer service skills

  • Ability to influence and build strong working relationships at all levels

  • Ability to analyze, interpret and implement University policies and procedures

  • Ability to foster a participatory supervisory style that utilizes collaboration and teamwork to successfully guide the work of others

  • Learning orientation toward changing technology impacting business processes

  • Proficient in following software: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, financial management, accounting or related field

  • Higher education business service experience
