The Department of Management in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University (SDSU) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship at the Assistant Professor level for fall 2020. SDSU values high quality teaching and scholarship. Relatedly, the primary emphasis of the position is on conducting high quality entrepreneurship scholarship, teaching entrepreneurship courses to support our undergraduate and graduate specialization. The candidate will also be expected to assist with various co-curricular activities offered through the ZIP ( 


) and the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center (Lavin), the 2018 NASDAQ Center of Entrepreneurial Excellence ( 


). Filling this position will be contingent upon state funding. 

Applicants should have completed a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or related area by July 2020. Applicants with equivalent degrees in other disciplines with relevant teaching and research may also apply. Well-qualified applicants will have demonstrated the potential for both high quality entrepreneurship research with publications in top-tier journals and evidence of excellence in teaching entrepreneurship courses. Well- qualified applicant will also demonstrate an ability to engage with the entrepreneurial community. 

The recently named Fowler College of Business enrolls approximately 5,600 undergraduate business majors and 460 graduate students pursuing both the MBA and Master of Science degrees. The Management Department offers undergraduate specializations in entrepreneurship, human resource management and general management and graduate specializations in management and entrepreneurship. The Department of Management enrolls approximately 1,200 undergraduate and graduate student majors.
