This position manages the student financial account collection activities for the University of Arizona.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Accounts Receivable team, prioritize and delegate work activities
  • Direct the accurate and timely collection of student receivables, third party sponsorships, and select student loans
  • Monitor the outside collection agencies used by the University and strategically assign student accounts, lead contract awarding process
  • Create, modify and run reports to evaluate and improve organization/planning and management of processes, continuously analyze and identify efficiencies for processes
  • Handle escalated customers
  • Train staff, establish and communicate performance expectations and conduct performance evaluations
  • Provide input on employment and pay decisions, as well as recruitment and development
  • Work with various University departments and outside agencies for student account balances such as the Office of
  • General Counsel and Department of Revenue
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience required or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Collections experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Report building experience
  • Working experience with PeopleSoft
  • Working experience with Financial Aid, Bursar, Registration or Admissions process
