Iowa Wesleyan seeks dynamic teachers who are committed to excellence in undergraduate agricultural business education. The Agricultural Business program is in full development stage and will be the only program of its type in Southeast Iowa. The major is designed to develop in students strong diagnostic, interpersonal, analytical and professional skills grounded in a robust understanding of contemporary agricultural business.
The curriculum emphasizes experiential learning. As such, the program offers students a wide range of applied learning opportunities including internships, practicums, seminars, attendance at professional conferences, and partnering with faculty on research. Courses will include precision farming, introductions to agronomy, entrepreneurship in agriculture, agricultural finance & economics and well as support industries. Course content emphasizes problem solving in a business context.
- The position requires candidates to have a graduate degree in Agricultural Business or a related field that includes at least 18 graduate credits in agricultural business, business, or related area.
- Relevant industry experience preferred.
