Program Manager, Graduate Business Programs Open to: Internal and External Applicants Full-Time or Part-Time Status: Full-Time, 12 months Staff Job Type: Salaried/Exempt Position Summary or Faculty Qualifications

The Program Manager is responsible for new enrollment of individual prospects in the Masters of Science in Business Intelligence (MSBIA) and Masters of Science in Strategic Human Resource Management Programs. The candidate will work with the Director to develop and execute lead generation and follow up plans and be the primary contact for communicating with, advising and selling prospects. The candidate will have the primary responsibility for delivering new student headcount goals as outlined in the MSBIA and MSSHRM Annual Plan, and must be a highly-dependable, adaptable, self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make daily contact via phone calls and emails with inquiries and prospects and in-progress applicants, including the communication of the status of applications and documents received and outstanding
  • Pull inquiries from SJU customer relationship marketing system on a daily basis
  • Manage lead generation through purchased third party leads and referrals from other grad programs
  • Meet in-person with prospects to establish a relationship, communicate the benefits of the MSBIA, advise them of their personalized curriculum plan and determine what it takes for the individual to choose SJU
  • In collaboration with the Director, develop and execute a Customer Relationship Marketing (SLATE) communications plan, analyze results of the customer relationship marketing campaigns, and make recommendations, as appropriate
  • Submit monthly, quarterly and annual “pipeline” objectives to satisfy enrollment requirements
  • Lead and coordinate Open Houses and Information sessions (on-campus, off-site and virtual)
  • Research and recommend individual merit scholarships and grants that can be utilized as a recruiting tool
  • Review completed application files and send to the Admissions Committee for final review and signature

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and evaluate external recruiting events
  • Suggest and test new recruiting techniques and incentives
  • Coordinate Visit-a-Class with the Administrative Assistant
  • Coordinate waiver/transcript reviews with the Administrative Assistant
  • Contribute to marketing planning and Admissions Committee meetings
  • Contribute, as necessary, to group/cohort recruitment
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

  • Some evening appointments are to be expected (5:00pm-6:30 pm)
  • Travel to external recruiting events, generally within 50 miles of SJU
  • Packing and handling materials and setting up for recruiting events (approximately 25 lbs.)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience providing customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated success with providing exceptional high-level customer service
  • Demonstrated experience being adaptable, patient, and a self-starter
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and desire to work with diverse student groups
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Saint Joseph’s University

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA/MS or MBA/MS candidate
