Notre Dame International (NDI) and the Finance Division seek a collaborative, innovative senior leader with strong financial, operational, entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills to lead the financial strategy, planning and oversight of the University's international operations. This individual will partner with the NDI leadership team to create and execute effective strategies for international program operations, growth and new program development based on sound financial projections and financial management practices.

As a member of the NDI leadership team, this individual will provide leadership to ensure enterprise risk management and operational excellence in alignment with and under the direction of the office of the AVP of Finance.

This individual will create systems of operational excellence, ensuring proper financial controls and oversight as well as regular financial reporting. Coordinating with campus departments, this person will ensure appropriate practices for banking and cash management, financial risk and compliance and strategic financial planning. These efforts entail coordinating with other subject matter experts within NDI as well as other units including: Finance: Budget, Controller, Treasury Services, Procurement Services, Tax; General Counsel; Human Resources; and, as needed, work with outside experts (consultants, attorneys, accountants).

The successful candidate will possess a strong ability to collaborate with others, to think in creative and innovative ways, to develop and evaluate business cases for new program growth and development, to effectively create and monitor financial plans and budgets and to implement and oversee administrative operations for a complex, international operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Business.
  • 7 or more years experience.
  • Finance, Forecasting and Multi-Year Planning, Operational Excellence, New Program Business Case Development and Review, Capital, Banking, Compliance, Strategic Financial Planning.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.

  • International experience
