Workforce Education Instructor for Banking Services. Responsible to prepare students for a career in banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions or to provide a degree completion opportunity for banking professionals. Responsible to educate and train students who wish to enter the workforce immediately after graduating from this two-year program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and update course syllabi.
Assist in the development of new curricula to support industry needs.
Develop and implement daily lesson plans to teach skills required to banking and financial related competencies.
Prepare outlines of instructional programs and training schedules and establish course goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Financial markets and institutions in the United States.
- Economic concepts relevant to financial markets to make good banking decisions.
- Consumer and commercial lending laws and practices in the banking environment.
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
- Prepare marketing plans for the banking industry and demonstrate understanding of consumer choices in banking.
Associate degree and two years of professional experience in banking, financial, and/or business related field; or two years’ experience teaching.
Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in banking, financial, and/or business related area; or two years’ experience teaching.
Ability to instruct online.
Expertise and professional experience in field of course(s) (banking) to be taught.
