The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and the Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management invite applications for a post-doctoral research associate position beginning in July 2022.

The research associate will work closely with the Center's academic director and affiliated faculty, primarily supporting research and data analysis pertaining to the Center's various on-going research projects.   The successful candidate will advance a number of research projects from conceptualization through publication, formulate research methods, suggest options for improving quality, identify potential problems, recommend and implement solutions, and collaborate in the development of new techniques.  We expect that a significant portion of time will be devoted to collaborating with other faculty. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a PhD in Finance or related field by the start date.  Candidates must show potential for excellence in research on topics related broadly to Investments, Institutional Investors or Asset Management.  Candidates must also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication in daily interactions, and proven ability to clearly articulate specific information in areas of subject matter expertise. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and one or more statistical programs is required.

COVID Vaccination Requirement
 

The University of Virginia expects all current and new employees (UVA Health System and Academic), to be vaccinated against COVID-19. 
 
If hired to work within the University Health System, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination or be willing to receive the vaccination. Employees may request a medical or religious exemption from vaccination.
