We are recruiting for an outstanding faculty member, open rank in management for the School of Information Systems and Management (SISM) in the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida (USF). This position will be located on the Tampa campus. The hired faculty member will participate fully as part of the productive, collegial, and vibrant SISM across the three campuses of USF (Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee). Responsibilities will include conducting top-quality research (ideally applying for grants as well) in organizational behavior and/or human resources (OB/HR), and teaching courses in management (e.g., compensation & benefits, staffing, people analytics, employment law, organizational behavior, leadership, international management). Service activities that support the missions of USF, the Muma College of Business, and the Tampa Bay community will also be required.

Our management faculty members’ research appears in leading research journals such as those found in University of Texas Dallas (UTD) or Financial Times Top 50 (FT50) journal lists.

Application review is expected to begin in October 2022 and will continue until a hiring decision is made. Candidates will be invited for interviews during the Fall 2022 and/or Spring 2023. The successful candidate is expected to start the new appointment in August 2023.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. degree (or to be expected by December 31, 2023) in management, or a related discipline including but not limited to business, psychology, or sociology.

Primanry Considerations:

  • Evidence of the ability to produce high-quality research.

  • A pipeline of research targeted at UTD/FT50 journals.

  • The ability to teach courses at the undergraduate and/or master’s levels.

Primanry Considerations:

  • A record of UTD/FT50 publications.

  • Evidence of the ability to meet and sustain AACSB faculty qualification requirements.

  • Evidence of the ability to achieve grant success from competitive institutions such as NSF and NIH, or private foundations.

  • The ability to teach core and elective courses in management (e.g., compensation & benefits, staffing, people analytics, employment law, organizational behavior, leadership, international management).
